Here comes biome! - Biobank information for children

What is BioMe and what does a biobank do?

Biological samples taken from pediatric patients can be used to study typical childhood diseases, thereby promoting the health and care of children suffering from various illnesses.

Finnish Biobanks have released a joint animation called Biominä (Biome in English), which aims to enlighten children and the young at heart about biobanks.

The animation is based on material produced by the Helsinki Biobank.

Publisher: The Finnish biobank network BBMRI.fi.
